Another successful graduation took place on Saturday 28th June. This was the first graduation that our new Little Dragons class took part in and while some were a little nervous they all performed remarkably well and even sat patiently while the others in the graduation completed their demonstrations.
The graduation started with all the students giving a beef display of standing Kihon followed by the first kata in the syllabus.
After this the Little Dragons had there time to shine displaying a basic ippon Kumite drill showing spirit and confidence.
Once the Dragon had sat down the lower grades got up and performed some moving basics showing a front kick, face punch then body punch all on in a straight line. Once again their spirit showed through and any nerves were quickly dispatched.
We finished the graduation off with the seniors showing some advanced yakshouku kumite and take down drills followed by the adults demonstration the first two application of our first kata.
Then it was belt presentation time which culminated in Aaron Coe receiving his Black Belt.
Aron has worked extremely hard to achieve his belt and I was very proud to see him achieve his goal on saturday.
